Mary Barton, well-known and well-respected in the community of Elmira, NY originally owned and operated the home, which began in 1971, until she sold it to Mark Williams in 2005.
Mark was raised in Rome, NY with loving parents and grandparents who instilled in him a loving respectful attitude for older adults at a very early age. His grandparents brought him to visit the Ava Dorfman senior citizen center regularly. After college he began working for Catholic Charities. His love and compassion for older adults grew and ultimately lead Mark to his career path in senior care.
Mark has his Masters Degree in Health Care Administration and is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. He serves as a board member for the Arbor Housing and Development in Corning, NY.
Mark values family and friends. His love for people is evident to those he cares for daily. They say "Mark will do anything he could for us". He is known for putting the residents at ease with his highest goal being to treat each one in his care with respect and dignity, giving them quality care he feels they have earned and deserve.
When my faith waivers... I think about the gift I have had the privilege to unwrap every day – "MOM". And the earth angels God places in our lives at just the right time – "YOU!" Many blessings Mark.
